Aziz

Synopsis

Aziz, 80-year-old mother of the family, with a progressive dementia, needs beingcared for by her children more . Anoush, the younger son who is about to get married, loves and takes care of his mother more than others. Aziz has lost herhusband years ago and now she’s expressing her love to someone. The family try to find who is the man that their mother is in love, they find out Aziz loves her ownyounger son, This is a new challenge for Anoush’s fiancé who is heart-broken from her previous failed marriage too and she’s asking Anoush to make a decision. Anoush tries to avoid his mother, however, the old woman’s health becomes critical and makes the son to get involved in the role of his mother’s lover.

Director’s biography

Born in 1986, Majid Tavakoli is a graduate of Architecture and he’s started his film career as an assistant director and then made couple of short films. His films includes Zigzag (2009) Born in 1987 (2016), Homeless (2020) and People’s Wedding (2023). His film Born in 1987 was nominated for Best First FilmDirecting Competition at Fajr Film Festival.
