Country Of Blind

Synopsis

Abhimanyu, an expert mountain climber falls into a strange and isolated society of “non-seeing” people – claimed to have been in existence for fifteen generations and cut off from the rest of the world. Abhimanyu decides quickly that “in country of the blind, the one-eyed man is king”. He fails in his efforts and gets trapped instead. Adapted from the 1904 story of H. G. Wells of the same name.

Director’s biography

Rahhat Shah Kazmi was born in 1946, He is an internationally acclaimed film director and writer.Rahat has won more than fifty international awards which including best director award at BAFTA by UK Asian Film festival in 2017 for MANTOSTAAN. Rahat was also nominated as best director in Bollywood ITA AWARDS (2022) alongside best known filmmakers of Bollywood Industry in year 2022 for his filmLihaaf: The Quilt co-produced by Oscar winner Marc Baschet.
