Coming back in its third edition, Da Nang Asia Film Festival (DANAFF) would like to discover and nurture talented film-makers in Asia. For the first time DANAFF is happy to announce its first workshop and project market dedicated for art-house film-makers around Asia, the workshop and project market taking place during Da Nang Asia Film Festival, in the beautiful beach city of Da Nang, Viet Nam.

The activity is in collaboration with Autumn Meeting as extension of its well-known section Art-house Film Corner.
From 5-7 projects will be selected by a committee of professionals in the industry.
Submission Requirements
- Fiction project, minimum 70 minutes.
- Applicants must submit following documents:
- Logline (max 800 words)
- Synopsis (max 2000 words)
- Director artistic’s statement (one page)
- Treatment (8-10 pages)
- Producer statement (one page)
- Detailed budget, detailed financial plan
- Production timeline
- Link of Director’s previous work
- CV of production company, producer & director.
- Any relevant visuals or materials that showcase the project’s vision.
- A completed screenplay is available when required.
- Documentary, Animation is not acceptable.
Deadline
- Submissions opens from now and closes by 10th April 2025.
- Selected projects will be notified by the festival by 30th April 2025
Regulations
- Submissions must be in English.
- Projects must not been selected to any project market in Asia; previously selected at Southeast Asia’s acceptable.
- The director and producer of each chosen project will be sponsored with round-trip air tickets, accommodation, to attend the DANAFF Workshop & Project Market, that takes place during the period of 29th June to 5th July 2025 in Da Nang, Viet Nam. (Eligible ticket for Director and Producer in the condition that the flight to/from Asia territory)
- Participants of selected projects will undergo 4 days of workshop with experienced experts & mentors.
- Participants will pitch the project in front of professional jury, best project will receive a Grand Prix from DANAFF; Besides, Autumn Meeting is seeking its continuing collaboration with CNC to grant a CNC award for one selected project.
- By submitting a project, filmmakers grant DANAFF the right to include the project materials during the festival and for promotional purposes.
- Film-maker applicants must have the necessary rights for applying & take responsible the projects do not infringe upon any copyrights or intellectual property rights.
