The Rose Squad

Synopsis

The film is about the lives and activities of female soldiers in their first days of enlistment. Phuong Chi – a young female Army reporter – began her military training days with excitement and nervousness. The initial confusion and strangeness were gradually erased by the care and sharing of pleasant teammates. Together, the young girls went through strenuous training exercises and arduous marches. Besides the affection of comrades and teammates, there are feelings that Phuong Chi has for Hoang – the Company Commander. Hoang’s strictness and dedication helped Chi becomemature and strong, and then their feelings between them grew.

Director’s biography

Director Nguyen Quang Quyet was born in 1986. He graduated from Film Directing Faculty of the Hanoi University of Theater and Cinema. He is the director of the You’re too the 12 (2011); The Rose Squad (2022). Besides, he also directed many recognized documentary such as: Dien Bien Phu the strength of the people’s heart; Coloring the flag, Winning the heavenly enemy to preserve the soul of the nation, Memories of those who transmit the fire, Journey of Reconciliation, Red Film, Echoes from the past, Motherland, Sounds of the Great Highland … Among themthe Journey of Reconciliation. won the Silver Prize at the National Television Festival and Red Film won the Silver Lotus  at the Vietnam Film Festival.
