Synopsis 

Set in 1885 in France, Eugenie, an esteemed cook, has been working for Dodin – a fine gourmet chef for over the last 20 years. Growing fonder of one another, their bond turns into a romance. Together, they create culinary masterpieces that impress even the world’s most illustrious chefs. Dodin realized his deep feelings for the woman who had cooked with him all these years, but Eugenie loved her freedom. Could this romance end with happiness?

Dirertor’s Biography

Director Tran Anh Hung is considered to have one of the most excellent and successful cinematic languages in the world’s cinema. His works, spanning over three decades, have left many deep impressions on many generations of international as well as Vietnamese audiences and filmmakers. The Scent of Green Papaya is also the only film to date representing Vietnamese cinema to be nominated for the 1993 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. The Pot-Au-Feu is also the representative film of France sent to compete at the 96th Oscars.
