Synopsis 

The film revolves around the case of famous female writer Sandra, who is suspected of killing her husband.Her spouse, Samuel, who is also a writer, tragically falls from a tall building while renovating their home. Despite the absence of witnesses or conclusive evidence, Sandra becomes the primary suspect due to peculiar blood stains. As the investigations and legal proceedings unfold, suspicions heighten, particularly when a recording surfaces just prior to the day of the murder, gradually unveiling the truth.

Dirertor’s Biography

Born in 1978, Justine Triet is a French director, screenwriter, and film editor. She made history in 2023 by winning the Palme d’Or at the 76th Cannes Film Festival for her psychological drama Anatomy of a Fall, making her the third female director to achieve this honor. Triet continued to break barriers in 2024, becoming the first French female filmmaker to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Director and winning the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. Her directorial debut, Age of Panic, was released in 2013. Triet gained recognition in 2016 with the release of In Bed with Victoria, a film that earned a Cesar Award nomination, often referred to as the ‘Oscar of France’. In 2019, her work brought her further acclaim as she presented Sibyl at the Cannes Film Festival, receiving widespread praise and solidifying her status as one of France’s leading filmmakers.
