Leon Quang Le immigrated to the US at the age of 13, is one of the few professional Vietnamese-American musical theater performers who has been dancing, singing, and acting for over twenty years – from the Broadway stage to nationwide tours in all 50 US states as well as abroad.
With a special love for Cải Lương (Vietnamese Traditional Opera), in 2018 he returned to Viet Nam to make the movie “Song Lang – Behind the curtain.” To date, this film has been screened at more than 100 film festivals world-wide, received 54 awards and been listed by Pitchfork magazine as one of the “30 best queer films with music”. His second feature, “Ky Nam’s Inn,” is currently in post-production and will be released in 2025.
