Ms. Phan Thi Bich Ha graduated from the Department of Cinematography at the National University of Cinema of the Soviet Union, Moscow and received a doctorate in Arts majoring in Cinema – Television from the National Institute of Cultural and Arts Research. Vietnam (2006). She currently is the Head of Faculty of Theater and Cinema Arts of Van Lang University, former Rector of Ho Chi Minh city Institute of Theater and Cinema. She is also the Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Cinema Association and Deputy Head of the Critical Department of the Vietnam Cinema Association.
She was the leader of many important scientific researching projects that have been applied to curriculum of the Ho Chi Minh city Institude of Theater and Cinema and many art training schools. The books she authored include “Second Reality” (Third Prize of the Vietnam Cinema Association), “Traditional Literature and Arts with Vietnamese Feature Films” (Kite Award of the Vietnam Cinema Association) , “History of Vietnamese Cinema” (volume 1, co-author – Award A of the Vietnam Cinema Association), “Socialization of cinema activities” (co-author).. In addition, she is the translator of two novels from Russian that were published “White Lizard” and “Turkish Robbery Chief “. She was officially recognized as a Senior Lecturer and taught at many universities in Ho Chi Minh City.
