Sultana is set within the world of an Istanbul nightclub and centers on Meral, a woman who has long ruled both the stage and the power structures behind the scenes. Her carefully controlled life begins to shift when Anna, a young Belarusian dancer, arrives and quickly becomes the center of attention. What starts as a relationship of mentorship gradually evolves into a silent rivalry, eventually turning into a tense confrontation over power, desire, ambition, and survival within a world driven by spectacle and seduction. Through its highly performative setting and suffocating atmosphere, Sultana explores the complex dynamics between women, ambition, and the fragile nature of power.
