Mannequin Wedding opens with a mysterious fire at an underground club in late 2021, where Chhoeun Samnang dies under deeply disturbing circumstances. In the aftermath of the tragedy, his family becomes increasingly haunted by strange occurrences and the lingering presence of what seems to be a supernatural force. When a proposal emerges to hold a bizarre “wedding” ritual as the only way to appease the spirit of the deceased, the family members are forced to confront the uneasy intersection of belief, fear, and long-buried truths. Blending folk horror with intimate family drama, the film explores grief, loss, and the lingering psychological scars left behind by death.
