Tam, a skilled martial artist from the coastal fishing village of An Hai, is entrusted with safeguarding Long Dien Huong, a sacred treasure closely associated with the traditional Nghinh Ong Festival. When the relic is unexpectedly stolen, he and his best friend embark on a quest to recover it, only to find themselves drawn into a perilous adventure. Blending action, martial arts, and the rich cultural heritage of Vietnam’s coastal communities, the film tells a story of loyalty, responsibility, and the determination to preserve communal values in the face of greed and corruption.
Duong Minh Chien (born in 1991) is a Vietnamese director, action choreographer, and stunt performer. With a background in martial arts and practical action performance, he first gained recognition through action-oriented content projects before transitioning into feature filmmaking. Drawing on years of experience in action design and stunt work, Duong Minh Chien has developed a filmmaking style characterized by physical authenticity, practical action sequences, and dynamic cinematic pacing. Fish, Fists and Ambergris marks his feature film directorial debut.
