Set against the backdrop of an aging apartment complex, the film follows Mr. Thach and his daughter, An, who share a cramped, single-room flat. Making a living by producing traditional food, Mr. Thach always strives to provide the very best for his daughter. However, as An enters adulthood and begins to pursue her own path, the gap in perspectives and lifestyles between father and daughter begins to widen. Through their everyday friction, A Room Called Home beautifully captures family affection, mutual understanding, and the bittersweet journey of generations finding common ground in contemporary society.
