Set in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta between the 1960s and the early 2000s, The Ultimate of Love tells the story of Hai Men, the eldest sister who is forced to take on the burden of supporting her family after the death of her parents. As personal aspirations are eclipsed by responsibility and sacrifice, Men faces poverty, social prejudice, and the upheavals of a changing era. Spanning more than four decades, the film is a heartfelt tale of kinship, love, and the quiet strength of ordinary people in the waterways of southern Vietnam.
Thu Trang (born in 1984) is an actress, a producer and a director of Vietnam. She is known through many successful cinematic works such as Nang (2016), Blood Moon Party (2020), Chi Muoi Ba - Ba ngay sinh tu (2020) and Nhot Must Marry (2023). Besides her acting career, Thu Trang also participates in producing many cinematic projects and expands her activity into the field of director. After her first movie Money Kisses (2025), she continues to perform The Ultimate of Love, a work that exploits the life and the changes of the Southwestern society through many generations
